Future Engineers – Secondary Programme

Our Future Engineers – Secondary Programme allows for a natural progression from our Future Engineers – Primary Programme.

It gives students the opportunity to have a much more in depth look at robotics and provides a fantastic blend of educational and technology skills delivered in a fun-filled package for Students aged 12-18. Students will be utilizing VEX Robotics kits and robotics programming software.

The objective of the Future Engineers – Secondary Programme is to introduce the student to the second level programming as well as further developing problem solving strategies. This course involves students in the development, building and programming of a VEX EDR robot.

Students will work in teams to design, build, program and document their progress.

Topics include motor control, gear ratios, torque, friction, sensors, timing, program loops, programming logic, decision-making, timing sequences, and propulsion systems.

Student designed robots will be programmed to take part in projects and events as developed by VEX EDR systems.

Please note schools will be responsible for registering for the programme and for any programme fees.
